One of our local club members has an '06 JCW and a Countryman All4, he likes them both for different reasons of course, but when the weather was bad this past winter the Countryman was excellent (his assessment) and this summer he and the bride will be taking some weekenders with it. Overall he's very pleased with it.
We also have a club member who just sold his '09 MCS for a Countryman All4, it should be here anyday now, but he's very happy with his decision, since he got an automatic this time and the bride can drive it too.
It's not the same car, but it's so much more in so many ways that most of the folks who have gotten them are very happy with the extra capabilities and don't miss the raw edge their MCS might have had....
You need to borrow one for the weekend if you can and drive it on your everyday roads so you can compare. No question it will do better in the bad weather..... -
Ran the numbers and it's close. Unfortunately my bride isn't ready for the jump.
Staying with the MCSa for now.
Thank you for the honest feedback! -
