One thing I've noticed in CR is the increase of those huge LED light strips on 4x4's . I saw a strange glow coming up behind me like the close encounters movie and wondered what it was. I don't see how they are legal but hey it's CR

I ordered the set from Outmotoring. Will report back, but based on ads I saw on Amazon, these are the whole cover plus the adapter to plug into the old bulb position.

While waiting for the new lights, some packing tape covers my bulbs. One good thing that came out of all this is the dirt removal behind that whole handle assembly, as I took it off to take a peek in there before realizing I had to pop the covers to remove the bulbs.

The 10 volts I measured must be the voltage that drives the hatch handle relay, using the same circuit the lights are on, and LEDs apparently when driven with not enough power will blink. The same LEDs work fine in the dome light and glove box position where there is no voltage when the lights are off.
