When an eccentrically dressed client asked Carlex Design to make his new Mini’s cabin look like an art studio, the Polish interior designer agreed without hesitation. Dubbed the “Painter’s works,†the project demanded the design team to think outside the box. Rulers and symmetry wasn’t required for this particular job, instead the challenge was to consider things such as how to successfully paint Alcantara. Canvas replaced certain luxury materials, while handstitched and handpainted elements can be found throughout the cabin. Excellent! I love it, especially the head rests. If it were my car, though, I would have done the splash graphics on the outside, and with a different color palette.
Not bad, definitely unique. As a photographer/artist I like it. All the purists..... Close one eye and look again. Don
