I say let them buy R56's - leave the R53GP's for people that know what they are getting and can properly appreciate it.

You guys have this wrapped up, but in gonna throw my vote in for the GP

Can't stand the R56 love over at MF.......driven both and can't understand why anyone would prefer the R56, unless they want a Toyota ride.

:cornut: I have an R56 and love her but, that R53 GP is a piece of history and that's why I'd take her. I'd keep my N14 R56(with all the problems now fixed), trade the N18 R56, get the R53 GP and have 2 pieces of history. R56-the little car (that couldn't until her problems were fixed) that can. R53- the little car that did.

Not even a worthy poll. Hands down, GP!

 

Of course R53 GP, that's a very good and reliable car. I bought it some months ago, I also intended to buy used or salvage mini cooper at low price and eventually I had to choose the 2nd variant (salvage car) as I was short of funds. But now I don't regret it though I had to do dome work and repaire the car but it still turned out to be a very good deal.
