Rubbing to the point the plastic is starting to split.

    Passenger side front wheel well.
Fender well is pushed toward wheel slightly by brake duct.
Bottom fastener is not usable due to removed plastic to make route for brake duct.

I just called ATI, they say this part# is not for the MINI ATI damper # 917992, further they have no bolt kit for our damper.

Is this just a case of we use some of the bolts and then have some leftovers or does none of this fit the MINI damper?

You are correct that bolt kit will NOT fit. We can use the short screws, but the long bolts won't work.

Just a word of encouragement for anybody considering getting the ATI over an OEM replacement...
I just had an ATI super damper installed that I got from WMW (decent price, and fast, cheap shipping, what more can you ask for!!), and my car ACTUALLY idles smoother! The mechanic mentioned it...and when I started it for the first time, I was pretty amazed at the difference.
The damper removed from my 2005 model year car (late 2004 production) was actually a older/Heavier design, and looks to be in good shape...turned out it did not have any cracking in the rubber, and looks to be fine. But there is still a difference BEYOND my lighter wallet. So if you are on the fence, the slight difference in $$ is well worth it to get the ATI!!

I did the same thing to my 05 and you are right can feel the difference.

Plus it's a nice piece of mind knowing another crap OEM part has been removed and upgraded.
