Wow August 26th is coming up and it's the official 50th anniversary of the very first production Mini. I can't believe none of the dealers, vendors, or web sites (that I've seen) have rallied around this date to make it MINIful day! On Aug 26th I say, if you own a MINI go give it a hug (or at least a good wash); if don't own a MINI, go hug a MINI owner (or buy them a bottle of their favorite beverage and maybe they'll take you for a spin); if you don't own a MINI and don't have any MINI friends, go test drive one; and if none of those work for you, at least go watch the Italian Job and think MINIful thoughts
We're having a huge "50th Birthday Run" with our local club on the 22nd. We have t-shirts, arial photography lined up, and selling some stuff to benefit our charity. We're aiming for 50-70 MINIs, and working on police motorcycle escorts even.
Thinking about a night drive with a few other mini friends of mine around the moutains here to honor that special day
MINI's 50th - Celebrating in TO Hi, Guess we're the lucky ones. The Toronto area MINI dealers are throwing a big party on August 26th to celebrate MINI's b'day. They've capped the number of cars allowed at 500, but can you imagine how cool it will be to see that many in one place??? I'm soooo excited!
Those Calgary and Toronto events sound great. Nothing scheduled in Vancouver. Maybe I should make a road trip. Doh, I gotta work. Too bad work gets in the way all the time :mad2:

Wow I'm jealous! We have an office in Addison. Last year when I was down, we got an afternoon of team building at the Speedzone. I got to bump my director off the track on the very last go-kart race of the day! It was sooo much fun. Wish we had one of those here.
