Summary: The mount is the same but there is no prewiring. However, there is a power line even in a plain stock mirror, for the remote lock receiver. Open up the mirror and wire power to the dim and Homelink circuits. The difference from OEM will be that the power is always on instead of switched, and the OEM turns off dimming when the transmission is in reverse.
