Available Lodging (outside of Fontana)

As in the past, some folks are having a hard time finding lodging. I'll be periodically contacting local establishments and posting availability when I hear of them. Feel free to check the LODGING thread on the MOTD site.

Griffin Cabins: Has two cabins available
The Simple Life Campgrounds and Cabins: Has Tent Sites, RV Sites and small "Camping" cabins available. Mention "The Mini Special" for a 20% discount.
Website for State Park Camps: Just use the search tool on the left. Use the Fontana Zip code of 28733 and then in your dates. They'll show you several campgrounds that are available.
Two Wheels Inn: They have 10 rooms available.
Snowbird Mountain Lodge: Has two rooms available
Philips Motel: Has 2 rooms and 4 effeciency apts. available.
San Ran Motel: Has 7 rooms available
Mountain Vacation Deals: Has several Cabins in Robbinsville and Bryson City.
Stewart Lakeside Cabin Rentals: Has 1 cabins available
Dragon Pitt Inn and BBQ - 1 Rooms avialable - just on the north end of the Dragon
VRBO: Just type in Robbinsville,NC and the dates you need and several cabins will come up.

There is also a unique opportunity at the Blue Boar Retreat. They have 8 rooms to rent. 4 with king beds and 4 with 2 queens each. They no longer rent for individual stays. So all 8 rooms have to be rented together. It's $900 per night (for all 8 rooms) and a one time cleaning fee of $255.00

You would have full access to their commercial kitchen and common gathering areas. There is a 1.25 quarter mile gravel road, but it's very well maintained and they have had numerous MINIs there in the past.

Just got a email from Hemlock Inn over in Bryson City. Then have rooms and cabins available. It's about a 50 minute drive to Fontana.
