2nd Gen R56 Cooper S Axle Seal leak?

    Anyone have any leaking around the axle seal to the transmission?
    Just got an oil change today and the mechanic pointed it out. Not a major leak, but a car with 5k on it should be squeaky clean they said.
    Anyone know if there's a TSB on this or something?

    Not a common problem, maybe seen it twice.

    I had one on my 03 MC many years back. It froze and cracked in -45F temps.

    I spent 2 winters in Winterpeg Manitoba :) - It surely gets cold in that province.

    FYI- the dealership said the seal was bad and replaced it. Sounds reasonable to me.
    They said this wasn't a common issue.
