Well Babs justa learned the first lesson of MINI ownership... The loaner.... Photo taken with justaphone With 9 days of warranty left we booked MINI SKOOBY in for a couple of adjustments & an inspection. I was expecting a laundry list of things they wanted us to buy, to MAG's credit they deemed New SKOOBY healthy & in very good shape. They said we got a screaming deal too, not their exact words but somethin like that. :ihih: What they did find was SKOOBY has new brakes F&R. :biggrin5:The secret skittle compartment we wanted adjusted is FUBAR & they will install a new one under warranty. They adjusted the bonnet release & gave us a shiny new MAG plate frame! NEWS FLASH.... Babs has just discovered that her justaclubster was sold new on Feb 29, leap year MINI. Her car is only 1 year old! How cool is that!!! Can't wait to tell the SA at MAG the MINI is still under warranty. Should be a fun time.
Wow a 1 year old 2008, that's pretty awesome! So it will still be under warranty for like 12 more years, sweet.
Did Babs notice that car being a bit off? I saw that loaner run over a curb at a decent clip, would hope they realign it on a fairly regular basis otherwise I am sure there would be some wild tires wear.
I drove it back to MAG to pick up brown Skooby. Drove like a top. What got me was the $26,000 + sticker price.
MAG is always good with loaners (unless you make a request) If I had $5 for every time they gave me an automatic Cooper when I asked specifically for a four door anything I could afford a new Cooper. Moving two car seats from one Mini to another Mini is a total pain in the backside.
Your dealer is probably concerned that if he provides you a loaner you will install a big dragon head on the roof :biggrin5:
Does every dealer keep a black car in the rotation just for you? Also the Minis would not have bothered me except they gave me a 3 sedan the first time I took the car in after Digs was born and it was so nice, then after that never again
Mine provides them, but there must be some kind of a "time in shop" requirement I am guessing. Mine has never been in for more then a couple of hours. I had hoped I would get a "S" loaner one day, just to see what they are like. Never driven one. :nonod: BTW: I keep an extra Dragon decal in the boot, just in case they ever do give me a loaner. :ihih: Jim
Guess we are lucky there seems to be no requirement as far as time goes. I just wish they's stop trying to give me BMW's. Since you have an extra lizard, ever think of putting it on your horse? :ihih: It would look pretty darned cool me thinks.
They always give me a MINI, except for the time that they gave me the option of a BMW 5 series (which I took). Hopefully Babs went easy on her loaner because it will probably be what I get on Wednesday. Started the Clubby up yesterday to drive home from Kenton and the SEL was on.
