When your head is stuffed up in the foot well, and you ready to pull out the old filter, turn your head away, as the stuff coming out of there is nasty.

When was the last time your cabin air filter was changed? They can get quite grungy....
MINI lists 2 different P/N's for the cabin filter.... The more expensive unit has charcoal for odor absorption.... -

A friend had a Honda that had a dead mouse in the heater, whew, that was a real stinker!
The dash had to come out to clean all the bits of mouse out, it was stuck in the fan.
Just hope it's only a bad cabin air filter!

:cornut: Same place up behind the glove compartment. Lying supine with your feet up over the seat and your head in the passenger footwell face up will position you to see and change it.

:cornut: They are sold on line. The only places that come to mind are Minimania and Moss Mini but some of our sponsors may have them also.
