Banana Gloss is a light wax. Amigo is a "filler" for lack of a better term, and Epic is a sealant. All 3 are different.
The marketing on their website says: This left me with the sense that BG is targetted as a "jack of all trades, master of none". Did I get suckered by their sales people? Or is this just a description of waxes in general?
I always use BG as a final light wax. I use it AFTER Epic. I don't believe it has the same properties as a sealant. Plus I love how it makes my BRG shine.... it seems to love dark colors. Hey, if you like it, keep using it. Otherwise, try something else. Not like you have to use it, right?
The best idea is to do pay attention while waxing and not put wax on black trim from the beginning. If a mistake happens from time to tme I use Pre WOW and the issue is gone.
I don't even own it yet  I need to detail my current car to get it ready to sell and make room for the MINI, but car repairs have me a bit short to get a full compliment of products, so I was looking for biggest bang for the buck within the Prima line. That's all. I appreciate the input.
IMHO, none of the alternatives have the durability of a proper coat of Epic (not even HS). Remember that Amigo is a glaze that is applied in between the polishing and sealing steps, so the filled imperfections will have the benefit of the protection of the polymer layer above it. BG can be the coupe de grace to the entire process and will do as claimed, but as it is the exposed layer to the elements it will need reapplication more frequently.
Gil, did you sacrifice the Hatchback for a new Roadster? On topic, I will be doing a winter application of Banana Gloss to the Countryman since it really brings out the depth and glow on the Oxford Green. It will last until about April. Then I will Epic and BG both MINIs and finish with the Hydro/Hydro Seal blend that Chuck Maybee and I are both using. 3/4 to 1/4 HS. Don
Brilliant!!! When you mix the 2, does it allow you to spray it on? How long do you let it sit before wiping?
No sit time, wipe on wipe off just like Hydro, try it, you will like it. I like it on they wet MINI after a wash, you can use it on dry MINI for a spiff.
Banana Gloss is designed for people who like carnauba waxes and also for people that want a super flexible "use anywhere, anytime" wax. It goes on hot or cold paint and it fills minor defects like towel scratches, marring, light holograms from buffers, etc.. Check out this square I did on a truck. It's hard to see from the photo but the owner was blown away by the results in person as everything else he tried...nothing gave results even close to it. One application of BG reduced the swirls, darkened the paint, and concealed the heavy towel marring on the paint. The swirls are evident in the upper right near the window. The visibility of these defects were reduced by atleast 50% and the marring went away completely.
BG is awesome I use it last in my detailing process every time. Wash, clay, wash, dry, polish w/Swirl, glaze with Amigo, seal with Epic, finish with BG. That's just the "paint" on the outside. The wheels get Sonax and some dressing the glass gets RainX and Clarity and the entire inside is cleaned and dressed with Nero. Prima makes great products but Black WOW always tops it of and makes the car POP.
