    ^^^ I know right.

Get drunk, yell at someone and punch them.

Wake up next day.....I did what? Aww crap..... I am sorry man I was drunk.

    Issue over.

He will be back on TG and if you want him to not punch the Producer make sure he has hot meals and give Mike Tyson the producer job. :ihih:

If hearing Mike Tyson talking does not calm you down and make you laugh his fist will put you to sleep for a while. He can still punch.

A public apology is needed at this point. He embarassed the guy, then blew up at the BBC and to great publicity rather than own it. A private sorry might have been enough earlier. It's not now.

You're right, there is a pretty good chance he'll be back, just because of the economics. It's like a star athlete catching a billion breaks because he's talented. If any normal person pulled this at work, I'm pretty sure we all know what outcome would've been. "It's just Jeremy being Jeremy" really doesn't work for me anymore. He's lost my respect. At some point treating everyone you like dirt (and deflect criticism by tagging an easy target, the BBC) just isn't funny anymore.
He's dangerously close to becoming a parody of himself.

So I guess the stupid producer looses his job also since the show will be over.
    Good job idiot.

I don't believe web rumors until an official announcement is made by the BBC.

The producer didn't do his job, it would have been a simple thing to pay the cook, at the hotel, to stay and cook for the presenters and production crew, he messed up and didn't do that. He didn't deserve to get hit, if that is what happened, but he deserved to get yelled at.

Everyone just needs to relax its not like Clarkson is Ray Rice of God sake.

It was a man to man issue and one failed to do his job and one was drunk. Why did the guy just not walk away and say FU Clarkson when he started yelling.....oh that right we don't know what happened because it was not on video.

The first Stig I was aware of was Stig Blomquist. Quite the rally driver & for a while I thought that was who Stig was. He is still my favorite Stig.

Here is the thing everyone forgets, James and Richard are standing behind him and will not do TG without him. It's all three or nothing.

That's what a true friend does. They will be picked up again and do another show together and maybe get a real producer that knows how to take care of the talent.

James has been doing historical shows for years, and Richard had his own car show. Both could survive without Clarkson - but they'd for sure make more $$$ with him. In this case, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

    We'll see:

"Both the public and close allies of Clarkson have expressed deep discontent with the BBC's decision to cut the host. As a result, producer Andy Wilman has also left the show, BBC confirms.

Wilman helped Clarkson reinvent the show after coming close to flopping 15 years ago. The duo reportedly brainstormed new ways to refresh the broadcast and helped it gain the global notoriety it has today."

See that part about the show almost flopping 15 years ago, and remember the two year hiatus they took to fix it? And the part about the public's discontent? And the fact that Clarkson is working on a new show, most likely involving May and Hammond?

I'll stick with two years or less for the win.

Also Jenson Button (F1 driver for those not in the know) is rumored to be in consideration for the new official Top Gear on BBC.

That gives me some hope for it.

Clarkson will be fine, but I'd wager that he won't be back on the BBC. Other networks will be chasing him like crazy.

BTW, the rumor is that Clarkson took a swing at a Top Gear producer after he found out there would be no hot food to eat at the end of a day's shooting.
