I would like to see the show evolve back to being informational again with an occasional challenge thrown in. Bring back the Cool Wall!
Why can't someone on Dr. who flip out and punch a producer and kill that show once and for all, dear God let it go already. Dr.who has not been any good since the 80's. Bring back Monty Python and maybe the Young One's.
Clarkson will be fine. He's not the first celebrity to go off the deep end a bit..and come back with the vengeance. Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen and Robert Downey Jr. are just a few that come to mind. If the BBC cancels the show and doesn't pony up and re-new his contract, there's at least a half a dozen if not more networks around the world that will give he wants, including creative control. The entertainment industry is funny that way...
Soooo.... It's all about how he doesn't like the neighborhood he's forced to drive through in his Italian car... Nothing about attacking another human being...
I think most of that driving through bad areas stuff was simply to stir the pot, since the underlying theme is a bit more serious. The underlying message, and it's what many suspected, is that he's simply bored with it. A show like this has a finite course, and for him, it's run it. When it becomes more of a repetitive chore, which it sounds like it has been for him for quite some time, it's time to move on. And I'm guessing that's what's underneath the outburst. The "cold food" was just the trigger, the real reason was he's frustrated trying to do the same thing over and over in a new way, and he finally let loose over something trivial. At least he's come out with it instead of letting the BBC take the fallout, although I'm not sure how much difference it'll make.
