Supposedly he has already started on a pitch for a new car show on another network.

So I guess the stupid producer looses his job also since the show will be over.
    Good job idiot.

I don't believe web rumors until an official announcement is made by the BBC.

Why is the producer an idiot? Because Clarkson hit him? Because all the local restaurants were closed by the time shooting was over? By all accounts the producer is a good guy. Clarkson is not he victim here....just because he's very talented and extremely funny doesn't give him a blank check to behave any way he wants. He has a sense of entitlement that would be better replaced with just a smidgen of humility.

The producer won't lose his job. Top Gear will go on with or without Jeremy. Wether it survives long term is admittedly open to question.

Because he bit the hand that fed him. Short term or long term Top Gear will be over without him and the other two will not do the show without him.

Remember this is not American issue, it's a british issue and its a british show, so our opinions do not matter one bit. The BBC will do what they want when they want to they are the ones that will have to decide if the MILLIONS in profits are worth the problem.

The producer bit the hand that fed him? I'm not following you on this one.

Oh the irony though...It was Clarkson that bit the hand trying to feed him.

Yeah you are missing my point. Jeremy with the others make that show and without them they have nothing.

The producer didn't do his job, it would have been a simple thing to pay the cook, at the hotel, to stay and cook for the presenters and production crew, he messed up and didn't do that. He didn't deserve to get hit, if that is what happened, but he deserved to get yelled at.

Everyone just needs to relax its not like Clarkson is Ray Rice of God sake.

It was a man to man issue and one failed to do his job and one was drunk. Why did the guy just not walk away and say FU Clarkson when he started yelling.....oh that right we don't know what happened because it was not on video.

The issue was they ran overtime, otherwise they would have had hot food. There is no way to predict that, it was no fault of the producer, you cannot plan for every contingency. They still had plenty of food. They didn't have HOT food. Suck it up for one friggin' night already. How many times in the specials were they inconvienced? You're telling me that the producer deserved the treatment he got after providing enough for everyone to eat, but since it wasn't gourmet fair I'm supposed to feel Clarkson was in the right? Doesn't seem like Hammond or May had any issues with it.

Total buffoonery on Clarkson's part. So poor little Jeremy had to eat cold cuts? At least he had something on his plate. It's indefensible. There is no excuse for his behavior, and all he had to do was say "I'm sorry." Try that behavior at your job, see how it goes for you.

I'm not defending His actions. But I have a job where I get to hotels at odd times with no food. It can be frustrating to say the least. I once had a moron tell me that a hand full of snaks was all I needed to eat. I had not eaten since dinner the night before and would not get to my destination till lunch time. He should be glad he said it over the phone.

The producer should have had food and Clarkson should not have acted the way he did.

No I am not captian Obvious

If they know a special is running late, like they always do, they can absolutly schedule a contingency plan. That's what cell phones and assistant producers are for are for.

Come on this is a big TV show not some little PBS show.

They had food! Cold sandwiches, not snacks or junk food. Probably better food than most people get. No, there was no caviar and white wine, but no reason for even a Prima Donna to go postal. Like I said, May and Hammond had no issues, but then again they aren't as self-important.

But enough of this already. I will be interested in the BBC's formal announcement; we should have the answer tomorrow.

I wasn't suggesting they both have anger issues. I was merely commenting on the fact that both are incredibly athletic.

    They were all drunk.

I did hear that Brian Williams will cover the story so we may never know the truth.
