Nick you don't need that big rectangular hole. If you'd like to pull the plate off my MINI for use as a template have at it. Mine is an aluminium Cobalt one bought from Moss.

The big hold serves 2 purposes. 1 air for the PS fan. 2 access the change the oil. It was enough work to make the one. That's why I offered the template and didn't offer to make them.

No plans on a production version? Did you make it from cast iron, lots of road holding weight down low. :smilewinkgrin:
