So what does it look like now?
Be interested to know how long it lasts too -
I have not completed the black out and one side, under the rear window is half done. I am going to have a splice mark there, that I am not happy about, so a picture would not show anything nice. Let me get it finished and I'll post a picture. The tape is very thin, once the top cover is removed, which could be good or bad, I really don't knoow. How long it holds up is anyones guess. Perhaps there are others who have used it.

Bought 150' roll of this stuff and have been happy with the results on my car for over 5 yrs now.
And it was a heck of a lot cheaper! -
BTW: I looked for that at Advance Auto first and they did not carry 3/4 inch.

Both my MINI's have had the 3M tape on them through hot summers and cold Ohio winters...no problems at all. The trick to removing the outer clear cover after installation is to let it sit overnight and it will begin to separate. Once you have a separation bubble carefully prick it with an Xacto knife and it will peel off easily.

Thanks, this is on my list for this weekend. I have had my new '11 MCS and so far the only thing I've gotten modded is the stubby antennae and blacking out the gas cap.
