All, I wanted to let you know that towards the end of June there will be some significant site updates. One of the reasons we migrated from our old platform to this platform was to be able to keep the site current, secure and with more modern functionality. The current platform we are on (Xenforo 1.x) released version 2.0 about 2 years ago. I wanted to wait until it was stable to migrate. Its now that time and I'm excited about it as there are lots of new features. That said, it's a significant update that will impact the entire site. As I dig through all the changes, I will provide a rolling list of the changes and new features. Instead of doing the design in a vacuum, I would love for every member to provide feedback while I'm in the design phase. To kick this off, I'm working on the homepage. Below is an image of the updated design. This is your site, it's designed for you. Therefore please let me know your feedback as now is the time for review and suggestions... Note: I had to take screen shots so there is a break between pics that clearly will not be there. Lets see who figures out one of the big things that will be in the new site.
It doesn't matter with me. Since I still know nothing about posting pics, I'll just remain my old unobtrusive self and post comments whenever I feel the need.
Correct - been talking about it for awhile along with many other things. Frankly, I realized I didn't have time to do all the work and am paying a firm to help with the migration. It will also have a full classifieds system (that I don't have to develop) and Reviews system. I'll post all the fields I'm looking to have as optional inputs, plus I got some feedback at MOTD that the garages input could use some simplification. Will be working on the garage creation stuff also.
It will look a little different but it will navigate the same. It will still be old fart friendly, us old farts have to stick together.
Nope - there will continue to be two styles 1) Old style - it will be updated, but will be essentially the default navigation 2) revised new style both in light and dark color themes. Once we get that far I will post some pics of those also.
You mean lots of unclear specs, marketing materials and release dates.. lol. Maybe we can get buzz going by doing things like that. .

When the new site is released there will be three different "theme" choices. 1) Motoring Alliance 2) Motoring Alliance Dark 3) Motoring Alliance Old Style.
