It has been my contention for some time now that it is possible for more than one party to create a product that works.

OK, what about 2nd gen turbo motor cars?
I'm sure the same factors apply right? More air in means more fuel needed. So if you add a big intercooler, a free-er flowing exhaust and a bigger turbo, blowoff valve and whatever, you need more fuel. Just common sense....
If you're Stock, you're probably OK, unless you're doing track days?
Cause I gotta tell you, around Heartland Park roadcourse, pretty much the only time I'm not at WOT is when I'm on the brakes (oh sure, I feather it here and there), and since I drive an auto trans, I'm not letting up for the shifts, so potentially because a) I'm slower b)I'm not lifting off to shift.... I'm at WOT even more than a stick shift guy, right?
And on a hot Kansas day it'll be even worse right? Except for the intercooler heat soak that causes the ECU to back things off, I suppose....
Yes, I realize it's a different setup but since it's direct injection, would it be even more sensitive? -
This is more a topic to go to ECU adjustments not this thread but.......
throttle position information sent to ECU= determines through many solutions = position of TB,solution for duty cycle of fuel injectors, timing etc.......So just because you have your foot to the floor.......does not mean 100%
dots...... are for........ doggybags -
Good question MiniDave. I have not heard of anyone replacing the injectors on the 2nd gen. They must be more substantial as they are high pressure. Might want to give Mynes a call as I know they have been racing the R56.

Would the direct injection throw a level of complexity in for the R56 application?

We found this to be a FFP (Frequently Failed Part)... This was removed from a 2006 MCS; so if your MINI is older and you still have this factory part, check it and change it. This goes from the FPR to the bottom of the inlet horn. We like to use silicon hose with zip ties as a replacement and you can use whatever you like

Its the vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator.
It holds its shape because its plastic. -

OK, folks. Let's not all jump on at the same time. Glass house and rocks. But it was pretty funny. Now, lets move on.

I asume the IC needs to be pulled to check this part?

That's why we always change out this part when we do the injector upgrades. -

Ive done some work on minis and never really had any problems with this part. are you sure that you are disconnecting them when you pull the fuel rail or are you breaking it when you pull the fuel rail off the car? thats the only way that i can see it getting broken.

I have only worked on a 'few' MINIs, what do i know  I'm only posting what i am seeing, take it or leave it :cornut:
