Some people are freaking out in Johannesburg, South Africa about a billboard that they think might make people steal MINI Coopers. A while ago, a rap artist named “Jub Jub†was drag racing his MINI and crashed into a group of students, killing a few of them. He landed in prison on a 25 year sentence and it’s been a whole big thing over there. In South Africa, MINIs are coveted as zippy quick cars so sometimes people steal them. Then someone stole the billboard that BMW was using to promote MINI Coopers. It was on the same road that Jub Jub was driving down when he killed the four children and injured two others. After the billboard was replaced, a new MINI ad appeared. It said, “Drive it like it’s stolen†and featured a cut-out image of a MINI – as if it were stolen from the billboard. Get it?
