Thanks Chuck! Spoke with Jon at Vorshlag this morning, he's putting together the parts I need for use with the Bilstein struts. Have to press out old collars and press in the new ones and then the long reach nut to top it.

On my IE plates there is some spacers. You add them so you can get full adjustment. Do you have anything like that? If so maybe that is the problem and a shorter spacer would allow the bolt to go on.

    Sorry not much help

Also, IIRC, there is a different top spring perch or something required from Vorschlagfor the inverted-tube Bilsteins

    Jim....
If for some reason you can't purchase those special nuts, just get with your local machine shop... They should be easy peasy to get the proper threaded coupling nuts and just turn them down with a lathe...

From what I'm reading there is a long reach nut to fit down into the bearing and threads onto the strut. I'm gonna call Vorshlag this morning. Something like this....

It looks like the bushing/collar on the spring perch may also have to be changed. Hopefully I'll find out soon and at not a great expense! Lol

Im shocked he let you press them yourself. He gave me a ration of trouble about not knowing how to press stuff. Maybe it was another guy?

Any update on what parts have been put together to work with the Bilstein struts? How's the progress on this?
