Recently Richard (OctaneGuy) of ShowCarDetailing.com sent me a pre-production sample of the latest iteration of Pre Black Wow. I think he called it Black Magic when I spoke to him last.

Anyway...since my MINI is in the shop I had nothing close at hand to test it on, besides, with painted arches there really isn't much area on my car that would use it. My brother on the other hand has this massive Chevy pickup that was last waxed over a year ago. It lives outside in the Texas sun too. There is a bit of trim that was waxed over a year ago that was driving me nuts.

    Before application:

One drop on the applicator and little scrubbing of the area:

And a little Black Wow after:

I think as the detailing Mod I should have some of this sent to me ASAP, so I can try it out. My testing will be on MINIs, not a Chevy.

I must say, it looks like it works very well, from the pictures:Thumbsup:

Now I have been known to have been on Richards case to get this product released since he first started talking about. So I will take this opportunity to suggest he get going on this, as the wedding is over, the restaurant is running, and the new shop is operating:lol::Thumbsup:

So what are the differences between BW and BM (Ha, the W becomes a M when rotated). Or should I wait until the ad's are printed?:D

BM is a cleaner - removes wax residue, etc. - removes the gunk to make it black again
BW is BW :D - long lasting color enhancer / protectant to keep it black for a long time

Black Magic has a much lower viscosity than Black Wow. Not really sure if that is germane to the conversation though.

Like Black Wow, a little goes a long way with Black Magic. To this untrained nose they both smell the same, slightly sweet, not at all chemically.

Nathan, how much scrubbing was needed?

Looks like it works great. Can't wait to try the stuff.

Scrubbing effort was fairly low. I used an applicator I had on hand that is a foam pad wrapped in a terry cloth like material. Put a few drops on the applicator and worked the area.

Dirt picked up cleaning that small (maybe 5x6") area.

I can't wait... it makes waxing my car easier (less masking, since I'll worry less about getting wax residue on my plastic)and it will be the perfect complement to BW, even if it does add a step, it will be a time saver overall!!

    Need Pre-WOW.

Black WOW is awesome. Any idea when the Pre-WOW would become available? I'd love to use it the next time before applying Black WOW to help fix some of my mistakes with other products.
