According to the latest reports from Autocar, it appears that BMW is set to green light the ultra-luxury version of the MINI which will be trimmed by Rolls-Royce at the Goodwood plant. Also, it appears that these new cars will be totally individual and the project is looking to create “niche vehicles” for customers.

Of course, this is not new! Back in 1960s, Mini also created customized vehicles for persons such as Peter Sellers or the members of the Beatles. Unfortunately for the moment nobody knows when this new program will be launched by MINI, but we do expect a public debut next year.

Didn't Ringo have one made with a hatch back for his drums? I heard that somewhere.

A luxury trim MINI sounds awesome, but they probably won't sell the trim parts to others without a vin, if at all.

Earlier thread here. Since the new story is "these new cars will be totally individual" I guess the pics in that other thread were just examples?
