Funny. I've always seen the mount in the back (handles the lateral movement) and never thought much about the lower one that handles the vertical (the one w/ the zip-tie). That is a much more complicated system than the '05-'06 models that I'm used to (and might explain why ours breaks all the freakin' time).

Technically, I could just leave the switch unplugged and off of the car. I discovered today that, if you disconnect the switch, the default state is 'bonnet closed', so the door ajar light doesn't come on. If you leave the switch attached and dangling loose in the engine bay, however, the door ajar light comes on. It's a safety thing, though... so I'm gonna do it right.
Thank you for the photo. That is exactly what I needed.
Note: That sure is an interesting engine mount. I don't think I've ever seen one that includes a zip tie!-

That is the early stock mount. It is way better then the oil filled ones. I’ll take a better picture of it tomorrow. I have always wonder if you could retro fit it.

That cord comes on them not sure what it is for. The rubber is hard then you have a part that goes back to stop the motor from torquing. Its a great set up. I have looked at later models and it looked like the still had the holes to mount the torque bar.
