Adam-keep in mind tires vary in size according to who makes them & even vary when made by the same maker. My Goodyear Bagel F1 tires never made contact with the body of my MINI. Now that I'm running turf tires (Goodyear Bagel GT) they hit when the MINI hits a good compression. Both tires are the same size 205-50-16, but they are not the same size. The Bagel GT's are chunkier. Go figure.
