    Based on the gen3 mini chassis from whst I have heard....
    Confusing thing is, bmw is running adds showing the 2 as a coupé....
    But pics of a minivan/cuv keep appearing.....

    To quote an Autocar article from 2010:
    I used to own an early 3-series in the 1980s, when they really were different, tail-happy cars (and the worse for it). BMW have been toning down their RWD cars for decades to make them behave more like FWD, while still allowing owners to BS about how RWD makes them real men.
