So..... I'll see some of you folks at the Brit car show. Now to decide which car, German or Japanese??? Maybe Babs Brit/German hybrid? Mark I can bring you a quart of oil to place under your car for that authentic classic Brit car look.
My point was that if it was a gathering I would enjoy it much more because we would hang around, kick tires (regardless of where they are made or what badge is on them) and enjoy ourselves. With most car shows we arrive at different times, spend way too much time taking photos and never really enjoy each other's company because of the "event". That's why I enjoy the Dragon. Hanging out, no real agenda ( other than the Donut Run and BrewSwap) and having a good time. At my age I've had my fill of organization and events.
The Brit show is what you want it to be. For me it is a great day kicking tires, seeing old friends & meeting new ones. I kick all tires, doesn't matter what kind of car they are on. I'm a multi denominational car guy. I love the no agenda, agenda. Although I'm confused that when folks are free ranging it somehow is not good?? Maybe start a thread with a sign up sheet & details for the perfect get together? I think the MoM group has evolved into a club. When are the nominations for officers? There really is a need for a social chairperson. At my age I just want to have fun & not be told how to have my fun. Just my .02.....
Better check with B.A.D. first. He is already organizing the schedule of club events to see and do, I guess.
No need to check with me. The list I put up is simply things that I hear about, know people have attended before, or have attended in the past myself. I like to know the options that are out there through out the summer. Shouldn't you be getting on the road soon to be in Columbus on Saturday?
I would come over, except I have an appt. in Covington, OH, from 11-2 PM, on Saturday. This means that, according to YOUR logic, I should leave for Columbus NOW and grab a donut just after midnight on Saturday, in order to make my 11 AM appt., in Covington. I'm ok with the driving but the dog told me he is affected by headlights in the nighttime and daylight. It throws off his sleep schedule. I cannot leave him at home as my wife is in Spain visiting her family for the next 7 weeks. Maybe I could drop him off at your place on my way over to Tim's and pick him up on my way back? :arf:
Have they been vet-checked? Now that canine influenza [for which there is no cure] is edging its way into Ohio, I sure do not want my dog to pick up anything...no offense intended. Carp...guess I'll just make him adjust to the time of day changes. Dang, now, that means I'll need to get new tires to make that loooong journey.
The dog flu is something that is concerning, especially since one of the dogs is a foster and we've had to take him to several rescue events over the last month. They are all bulldogs on different meds for different issues, so they tend to be at the vets regularly. Along with new tires, you might want to get a new rubber band for the R50 now that you are Jan tuned.
Actually, I am Jan tuned in the R53, as well, and it wears track tires. It does really well at Mid Ohio. You should go there sometime....:cornut:
Some day I will. I bet it is nice to stretch out the legs on the R53 and have a safe place where you can actually drive at speed limit speeds
So...in all this hub bub no one stated which Sunday this auspicious event is to be held. The date is?
