I've heard of them in fact fell victim to 2 of them. Babs had an Integra & broke a front spring. I couldn't imagine how she did that. Went to my friends at the local import parts house & they say, how many do you want? Then he says they keep 4 of them in stock as they are big sellers. Crazy but true. I bought 2 to replace both front ones. When I took what I thought was the good side apart it was broken too. :eek:ut:

They really shouldn't break unless there's a defect in the metal
    or a horrendous accident.

Don't remember the brand of the spring. It was the front barrel spring that came with the TSW softcore suspension.

Car was parked outside in very cold temps - was thinking that had something to do with it breaking perhaps?

I broke some leaf springs on a Chevy LUV truck. We loaded it with over 1/2 ton of wood. We just welded in some steal tubing to replace them. Then it could hold plenty of wood.

yeah...leafsrings fail pretty often....limped a freghtliner to the shop last week...last year about this time, the right side failed (company is too cheap to do them in pairs)...this time the left...at about 950,000+miles right now...guessing they may not be the first pair...lol.

It is more fun when the center bolt shears & you have to dog track that truck down the road. :frown2:
