My only thought is , what is the lifetime of those vinyl wraps, in Florida with the intense sun/UV I cant see it being more than 1.5 - 2 years before you start seeing some type of breakdown. I had what was suppose to be a UV resisitant carbon fiber wrap on my bonnet scoop that looked degraded in 6 months.

Which that said, I can only image that the vinyl you had was low grade sad to say.
Also, was the carbon fiber vinyl you had black all the way thru or a sort of chrome-ish back-side ?

What does it cost to wrap a Mini like this?
And is this number somewhat across the industry or only in places like so Cal and Florida where it's more common?
I see this as a really cost effective and viable way to change the looks of a car without painting it. -
I travel all over the world wrapping vehicles and the cost does range as well as the quality of the work. Just like a good paint job I remove all the emblems, handles and trim in order to achieve a seamless look.
a matte colored mini is about $1600 with removal of all those parts. this doesn't include travel.
