A schoolboy was over the moon when he won a Mini Cooper in a world record bid - but will have to wait five years to take it for a spin as he’s only TWELVE.

Lucky youngster George Baldwin got the £15k star prize when his name was pulled from a draw in a world record attempt aiming for the biggest ever gathering of people called George.

Winner George attended the record attempt in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, with parents Helen and Shaun for the St George’s Day festival, which tried to assemble 1,097 Georges.

Even with the record not being broken George was chuffed to walk away with the Mini three-door hatch, despite not be able to get behind the wheel for another few years.

George, from Chorley, Lancs, said: “When I heard about the record attempt, I thought it would be fun to come along with my friend, who’s also called George.

“I couldn’t believe it when my name was read out and it still hasn’t sunk in.

“Now I’ve just got to wait until I’m old enough to start drving lessons!â€
