    The delay is because they have to keep rewriting the timing chain chapter. :wink:

    Thanks for that link, but the 2nd Gen brakes are different and there is another write-up in the library by Ron Pickett (RonsMinnie) to describe the procedure for 2nd Gen which is very good, less complex than Octane Guy's, but only refers to reinstalling the 16mm bolts without torque requirements.

    Aren't 2nd gen fronts the same as 1st gen JCW without the red paint? That is unless these are JCW's and in that case it would be a Brembro caliper.

    Bentley Manual lists the following for JCW brakes on 1st Gen

    Brake Pad Carrier to to Wheel Hub M12x1.5 110Nm or 81 ft/lb
    Caliper to Brake Pad Carrier 7mm Allen 25-30Nm or 18-22 ft/lb

    It's a shame that almost 5 model years out we still do not have a Bentley Manual. They do have a part # and ISBN # listed with a Coming Soon listing.

    I made a pretty good guess when I re-installed I torqued to 85 ft lbs.

    Any chance you could post some shots of that page out of the Bentley manual for the JCW brakes on the Gen 1. I have an '09 justa Clubman and just did my brakes using Octaneguy's guide. I was showing my wife how to do it and we got the wheel off and she asked, where's that wire thing. I was shooting from the hip from there. the caliper to brake pad carrier assembly looks like it actually has two fasteners that are tightened against each other that I'm trying to make sure I have properly snugged.
