Thanks Nathan except that I have no existing screen. The car has the central gauges and the two gauge pods on the steering wheel, one with the speedo and the other with the tach.
I guess I'll have a winter project to attempt to locate something that isn't an arm and a leg to buy!! -

Maybe you could use a blue tooth camera for android or Ipod, then you could view it on your handheld device.
