Here's the trailer I have for my MINI. It is a fiberglass Reese Backpacker, that converts from a closed trailer to an open trailer. It is so light that I do not know it is there at 80 MPH loaded with my wife's mobility scooter.

My two teardrops were about 650 pounds, with less than 100 pounds tongue weight.
Seriously, post these same questions at www.tnttt.com . You will get some some very knowledgable replies. Tell them caseydog sent you.

For primitive tent camping, I have a Reece 'Back-packer' that holds everything I need and my wife's scooter. It is so light that I don't know it's there. It will tow fine at 70/80 mph. I have a MINI FINI hitch. It has been to the Dragon twice.

I have owned two teardrop campers, and loved them. I didn't use a MINI to tow them, but know other teardroppers that have.
As for a toilet, you can get a portable one, and a "shower" tent, and set it up outside of your teardrop. A lot of teardroppers do that.
For more information on this subject, go to http://www.tnttt.com . I am caseydog on that forum, too. That is THE forum for teardrops and small campers.

Just got back from a 600+ mile trip to Detroit. 70/80 mph the length of I 75 in Ohio. Not a problem....
