Caveat Emptor..... The 4Runner was beautiful & the price was great, almost too good to be true. Turns out it was. Caveat Emptor! Not sure how good Carfax is, but it is a help.
Let's put it this way. Daisy's Clubman accident didn't show on Carfax. And that was a fair $ amount. I think that it's good to know where the car has probably lived and that's about it.
Thanks Ali! I only do about 8k a year, so I'm thinking for a good price I can't go wrong. Well, as long as I'm ok with Cool Blue.
Will do. This place sounds like they might be more willing to deal versus everywhere else I've looked.
With the weather getting cooler, it's a good time to buy a cabrio. I bought Tigger in January and got a good deal.
Didn't get to see the car today. The salesman was supposed to call me in the morning and meet me at one of the Cincinnati airports while I was doing a couple of flights. It was his day off, but he was supposed to arrange it with someone else. Oh well, not sure when I will have time to take a 4 hour round trip to go see it.
Sounds like he really did not want you to buy it. There are many MINIs out there. You will find yours. FWIW I think Cool Blue is a sweet color.
Says WHO? :arf: I run mine all year long... In summer, spring, and fall, the top almost never goes up. I close it in the winter when it's actively snowing or raining, but if it's clear I've been known to run with the top down/windows up/seat heaters on full (get the Cold Weather package - you'll be glad you did). That said... I love the hard tops too. Definitely lots less squeakage from all over the damn car when the roof's actually, you know, ATTACHED. But hey... top-down mode forgives a multitude of sins...
ME, my opinion after spending a couple of winters driving MG's. If you like them in the winter more power to you. :cornut:
I'm another one that really loves a sunny crisp day to take the top down. If it's sunny I'll take the top down to around 30 degrees. Seat warmers do make the difference and I have some nice driving gloves and matching scarf to keep me warm. I won't do highway speeds though when it's that cold, just putzing around town.
Ah, I see... I'm taking about convertible *cars*, not lawnmower-powered bathtubs. No wonder man... (((shakes head)))... ... :ihih:
I think my mind is made up to get a convertible. Really like the roadster but I need the 4 seats. Just waiting to find the right one...
The same lawnmower powers your very own 1992 Mini. Although my mower had 2 SU carbs not 1. (laughs arse off)... :ihih:
Being a "fighter" is better. You don't have to buy anyone flowers, or presents, or take them out to dinner. Jim
