You need a new high pressure fuel pump.
There was a warranty extension (although I don't know if it covered your year) on it so you should be covered. Take it back to the MINI dealer, if they can replicate the code they should be able to warrant that part for you.
Let us know what happens, OK?

Do you know if the electronics were updated after the carbon was cleaned? I was speaking with my dealer on this last week and he mentioned that their process is to update the software or refresh the electronics or reset the values. Whatever you want to call it.
The point being that the car needs to be told that the carbon is all cleaned up so that the car will run correctly. It adapts over time, so as the carbon built up it adjusted the performance.
You might want to ask your dealer. Even if they didn't do the work. -
Hi, I have ordered the new high pressure fuel pump and my mechanic is paying to have mini diagnose what we already believe to be be the high pressure fuel pump! he has been great about the whole thing.. He is in NC if anyone needs a mechanic... Yes he said that is what they do when they reset the lights and that has been done a few times its not even showing misfire codes anymore .. I wonder how mad mini will be that we are essentially using them
