Personally I'm a huge fan of using real carnuba wax on a dark colored car. Your Blacks, Darker Blues, Deeper Reds and an BRG all tend to look better to me when a high quality wax is used.

    What do you think?

Actually you can use both and get the best of both worlds. I use Epic and then Griot's Best of Show. The look rocks!

Klasse all-in-one and sealant glaze. Not the deepest shine, but it sure lasts a long time.

I'm a wax person, specifically Zymol Concours. It has a really high carnuba content compared with most waxes on the market. I found the trick with it is multiple coats over a period of days giving it some time in the sun between coats.

The best wax is the one I actually use, not the one I would use someday, maybe if I get around to using my PC again. Therefore, make mine Hydro, please.

After a proper paint cleaning and polishing, Zaino is just unbelievable. Very durable too!

I use Epic as my primary sealant/wax, applying it twice a year. Banana Gloss goes on about every 6 weeks or so, which is a blend, plus I use Hydro every wash. So even though BG has some carrnuba, guess I'm mostly a polymer user.

Are you talking one of their 'glazes' that runs $100 per 8 oz jar up to over $2K?

Yes with Concours being the most affordable of the glazes. Granted the price of entry is steep however, the long term cost is low as a little goes a very long way.

I'll take a flyer on their Carbon Wax for darker colors and see how it stacks up against Best of Show

(I'm a sucker for car care products!)

PS-you could use Epic as a undercoat to any Carnauba Wax. You get the durability of the synthetic plus the shine and depth of color from Carnauba

I'm a huge Zaino fan as well. I just find the application very easy and the shine is jaw dropping. I'm sure other products or approaches work well for others but I've been impressed with the Zaino line.

I'm like you, Mark, except I use Zaino instead of Epic. (+Banana Gloss + Hydro).

And that my friends is what detailing is all about, finding products you like to work with, and the results you get. I don't think with the high end products most of us use that one is better than an other.

This weekend will be our Teardrop trailers first detail, my wax/sealant will be Banana Gloss. Yes I'll post pics:wink5:.
