I was heading down to the shop to do an oil change today and stopped by AutoZone. They have the German oil on sale today @ $2.00 off per quart. This is the good stuff that meets BMW Longlife-01 standards. Just make sure "European Formula" is on the label.
That my friend is an old timey, leather belt driven, metal lathe that still works just fine. None of that computer controlled, whiz-bang shenanigan, high falutin, bit crunching, tallywager stuff. No sir, none of that stuff.:beer
No – That is a genuine made in America South Bend lathe. And I think it is old enough to have a screw spindle, instead of a cam lock spindle.
CarlB The one in my picture is a 1942/43 Model 200 series 10" Logan Lathe. Made by the Logan Engineering Co. Chicago Il. And yes, I can still get parts for it. Can't say that about some of those Chinese imports.
