. Still the Milltek is a great exhaust but I would also look for a used JCW exhaust if it were me and remove the resonator before installation. You should listen to several different exhaust systems during breakfast this coming Saturday to give you some options that you like. There will be a blue MINi there with a Gnat painted on the front of it that will provide you with a exhaust "growl" like no other!!!!

Milltek hands down best exhaust for the R52/R53. I put one on my R53 a few months back and love it.

The minyn is an R52. And thanks, I'm hoping to be there for breakfast Saturday. Good advice.

Mechanic said he could get K&N and suggested instead of spending $850 - $900 for a box of parts plus $130 for installation, he could build me a custom cat-back that he guaranteed I'd love for around $400. So, $730 later I had $1200 worth of cold air intake and custom cat-back using Magna Flow mufflers and tips.
Definitely worth checking with local independent mechanics. LOVE the raw sound of the custom exhaust.
