Ok I will admit that I didn't handle the situation very well. :frown2:

I was driving down a busy 4 lane road. I had been behind a Ford Explore. It was evident by the way he was driving he was not paying attention. When I went by him he has on the phone and had a paper in the other hand. As I thought. I ended up in the right lane in front of him a few miles down the road. He was about 3 or 4 car length behind me. next to me was a girl in a small car doing the same speed as me. We were traveling around 40 mph. A we approached a intersection the light turned yellow. It would have been close so I hit my brakes. The girl cleared the intersection. When I stooped the light turned red.
That's when I saw the guy behind me hit his brakes. There was no way for him to stop, he went right and through the intersection. The light was RED. Luckily for him no one moved. Had he been paying attention he had plenty of time to stop. I know I always watch my mirrors.

I caught up to him a block later, he got caught at a light, this gave me time to catch up to him. When I got up next to him I told him to GET OFF THE PHONE! He put down his phone and said what? I told him that not only did he almost take me out but he ran a red light. He said I stopped on a yellow. I didn't and there was no way for him to make the light. I was fully stopped before he got to me and the light was red. I told him agin how I saw it and that he needs to pay attention and get off the phone.

I believe I told him to Motor On as I drove off.

I know I should of let it go but we were in heavy traffic and he had not been paying attention for some time. Him almost hitting me was to much. I would have been more understanding if he had apologized but instead he tried to say it was my fault.

I'm so sick of this type of thing happening.

    End of rant!

Yes. The only thing worse are people texting. On a two lane road I had an oncoming car take me completely off the road and as he passed me he was looking down.

Nice job, I for one would have been out of my car effing yelling at him. I have done it before and will do it again. People get worried about other drivers having a gun but they are to stupid to have a gun or could not find it in the whole 20 seconds the situation occurs.

I also never go up to someone window and bang on the car like I am trying to assault them I am just making my point loud and clear. Pay attention and get off the EFFING phone.

I was once rear ended at a stop light on Christmas morning by a lady on her cellphone.

I was sitting at a dead stop for at least 30 seconds at a light with another car beside me. When I got hit I was like "wtf did that just really happen" and the lady in the car next to me got out and started yelling at the lady that hit me from behind after she checked if I was ok.

The funny part was a cop was sitting at the corner and saw the whole thing. Let's just say I did not have to yell that day but I still did. The best part was I called her insurance company to file the claim and asked if I had any witnesses and a police report. I said yes and gave the the officers name. They asked who the witness was and I said the officer because he saw the whole thing and wrote your client a ticket also.

Let's just say my claim processed rather quickly.

I would never be lucky enough for a Cop to see it if it were me.

This subject is my number 1 hot button. I always thought I'd die of a heart attack, but now I'm pretty sure I'll end up as a grill ornament on a texting soccer mom's SUV, and she'll never even notice until she parks it in her garage.

.....the chance she would notice even then would still be slim to none, she would still be texting. She'll be texting her husband to get out from under his MINI so he can unload her SUV.

I can't believe so many of these moron's don't get caught. I was riding my Harley in the carpool lane (only have to watch 1 side) and a Caddy started to drift into my lane while I was next to her. For similar reasons, I had installed an airhorn on the bike, as the stock horn just didn't do any good. I hit the horn and she jumped so hard the phone flew out the window. Fortunately I was almost past her because she again swerved into the carpool lane looking out the window at her exploding phone. Hope it was expensive...

We have a Washington State Patrol "impaired driving taskforce" that doesn't seem to be having any effect. I hardly ever drive the freeways around the Seattle area if I can help it.

Some cell phone drivers just need a high five to the face with a closed hand.

Or make the fine for breaking the law $1000.00. The local police would ticket people all day long and make tons of money for the fallen officers.

I had two encounters tonight with said knuckle heads. At least the guy in the F250 drifted into the emergency lane and not mine.

Oh I had a good one today!...

So I was going to the gas station where I go every day for my lunch break (they have decent cheap rotisserie meats, what can I say)...

I have one traffic light I always catch red, and today was no exception... Today however, I am watching the lady in front of me pecking away at her phone. The arrow turns green, and she is just sitting there still pecking away...
The arrow turns red! We missed the light totally, and she is still sitting there pecking away!

So I see the opposing traffic coming to a stop, and know my light is about to go green. She is still sitting there, CLUELESS, and typing a novel or something so important that it needs to get done right now...
So I put the Jeep into 1st, place my hand on the horn, and wait for my green arrow again. When it finally changed, I laid on the horn, and popped the clutch out a bit, just enough to get the front of the Jeep to jump up when she looked in the mirror.
Needless to say her phone went somewhere else in her car as she gunned it through the light!

We got to the roundabout a block away from the light, and she started yelling at me when we where waiting for a semi to go through...
I just started laughing, and calmly told her to "quit finger ****ing your phone and pay some attention while you are driving"...

Thats when she told me to "Motor On" and sped off. :D

Onramp that's great! I have an Indian I'm almost finished putting back to gather. An air horn would be great!
