    Hello CCMC club

Have you ever wanted to know a little bit more about what is under the hood of your MINI or what it takes to do a Supercharger upgrade? Maybe you would like to learn a little more about other possible modifications to the engine, suspension, brakes, exterior, and interior. Maybe you just want to know more about basic maintenance such as an oil change.

Well, here is your chance.

Justin with Central Coast Mini Center in San Luis Obispo is hosting a Meet and Greet / Tech Talk session for the CCMC club and anyone that has a MINI or is a British car enthusiast.

    They are located at

    640 Marsh St.

    San Luis Obispo, CA

    Tel: (805) 544-2277

We will meet there at 10:30am. Postponed until March 12th.

Justin will be performing a Supercharger pulley upgrade on a 2006 MCS and is going to let us all watch and ask as many questions as we want.

After he is done (which should be by 12) we will all take a nice drive out to the Pozo Saloon for lunch and some good conversation.

If you have never been to their shop, the place is like a British car museum.

They are a full service shop that can handle ALL your Mini needs whether it is a 1969 or a 2011.

Check these links for more info on their shop and some of the projects they have completed.

    Here is what they do.

Central Coast MINI Cooper Center: MINI Cooper Sales, Service, Parts, Repair, Upgrades & Restoration

Click here to see some of the projects.

    British Sports Cars Blog

They also do more than just MINI’s. Check this link for their sister site and some history on the shop.

British Sports Cars: Sales, Service, Parts, Repair & Restoration

Please come out and support our local MINI shop. If you don’t want to participate in the Tech session then come for the British car history lesson, check out the classic Mini's, MG's, Aston Martin and who know what else, or just to shop in downtown SLO.

This event has been postponed until Saturday March 12th.
The reason for the postponement is that we are expecting snow fall below 1000 ft and we don't do snow.
Actually the weather service has issued the following advisory for the roads we had planned to travel:
ACCUMULATING SNOW AND ICE COULD RESULT IN EXTREMELY
DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS FOR VALLEY ROADWAYS INCLUDING
    STATE ROUTES 41...46 AND 58.

    Cancelled... UHP AS's...come on!
Okay, the ten minute straight and flat drive from Los Osos might have me full of false bravado. :)

I can admit that I am afraid of the snow especially going over Cuesta Grade. I have summer tires that I found out do not do well in the snow when we had unexpected snow in the Rockies last summer on the way back from Denver.

Bummer for the cancel, but we had thought about taking a ride, but decide against it so now on the 12th if it's good weather we may show up. :D

That would be awesome. Always great to meet members from other clubs. The shop is like a Museum.
Are you going to AMVIV? We are going and are looking to tag along with someone as I dont think anyone else from over is going.

Don't think me and the wife are going to make AMVIV. But our club has a bunch of people going, you may want to hook up with them somewhere in between Fresno and where you will intersect them  Keep an eye on it and as it gets closer they will be posting times when they will leave and such, then you can figure out where to connect :cornut: Here is the club link for AMVIV:

My wife and I just might try and get over to SLO next weekend for your event. I've never needed a reason to drive the MINI to the coast, especially since our daughter lives in Shell Beach, but this little side bar makes it all the more worthwhile... We've heard great things about the Saloon too, but have yet to make it there. Even more reason to take a drive!:beer If we can get away, we'll meet you at the garage on Saturday @ 1030. Thanks alot for the heads-up. Sounds like it'll be a great time.

Looking forward to it Mike. Cant wait to see what the SC kit does for the Mini. Did I tell you I did the One-Ball mod? Sounds good but I would like it a little louder but for 50 dollars it is well worth it.

Great look forward to meeting you. The wife and I will be there around 9:45 if your running ahead of schedule. Her car is the one getting the SC kit and Justin wants it to cool down a little before he starts.

I also look forward to meeting you on Saturday.
The shop had said to park in the metered parking on the street.
I will bring a bunch of quarters to feed the meters.
We might be able to park in the lot but I know many of the lots are a little touchy about non patrons of the stores parking in the lots.
So far I only know of six cars attending so we should only have 6 or so cars to park on the street. Should not be to much of a problem.
