Hey to all the Central Coast MINI folks...
We just wanted to let you guys know what a great time we had at the outing you put together for everyone today. It was very cool to meet some new MINI folks and make some new friends... Thanks too, goes to Peter and Justin Jurgens for their hospitality at the Cental Coast MINI Center. What great people and what an awesome facility! Hope that you all know you are welcome anytime to come to the Valley and have some MidCal fun when ever it might fit into your travel plans.

This event has been postponed until Saturday March 12th.
The reason for the postponement is that we are expecting snow fall below 1000 ft and we don't do snow.
Actually the weather service has issued the following advisory for the roads we had planned to travel:
ACCUMULATING SNOW AND ICE COULD RESULT IN EXTREMELY
DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS FOR VALLEY ROADWAYS INCLUDING
STATE ROUTES 41...46 AND 58. -
Cancelled... UHP AS's...come on!
Okay, the ten minute straight and flat drive from Los Osos might have me full of false bravado. -
I can admit that I am afraid of the snow especially going over Cuesta Grade. I have summer tires that I found out do not do well in the snow when we had unexpected snow in the Rockies last summer on the way back from Denver.

Are you going to AMVIV? We are going and are looking to tag along with someone as I dont think anyone else from over is going. -
Keep an eye on it and as it gets closer they will be posting times when they will leave and such, then you can figure out where to connect :cornut: Here is the club link for AMVIV:

The weather forecast looks good for Saturday the 12th, sunny and 65 degrees.
I can't wait! -

My wife and I just might try and get over to SLO next weekend for your event. I've never needed a reason to drive the MINI to the coast, especially since our daughter lives in Shell Beach, but this little side bar makes it all the more worthwhile...
We've heard great things about the Saloon too, but have yet to make it there. Even more reason to take a drive!:beer If we can get away, we'll meet you at the garage on Saturday @ 1030. Thanks alot for the heads-up. Sounds like it'll be a great time.
-
That would be great if you make it to the coast. Hope to see you on Saturday.

OK cool... Look for the CR/B with the two strangers belted inside... Also, where can we all park? Is the lot available across the street?? A bank I think...
-
I also look forward to meeting you on Saturday.
The shop had said to park in the metered parking on the street.
I will bring a bunch of quarters to feed the meters.
We might be able to park in the lot but I know many of the lots are a little touchy about non patrons of the stores parking in the lots.
So far I only know of six cars attending so we should only have 6 or so cars to park on the street. Should not be to much of a problem. -
