    I'm working on friends 2004 R53.
The key will lock and unlock like is should. The toggle in side will not lock or unlock the drivers side door, passenger door and hatch work correctly. The remote on the key will lock the diver side door but not unlock it, other door and hatch work correctly. the double pull on the drivers door works.

Any ideas? I looked in the door but do not see anything un hooked.

Also the car has 140,000 miles on it, no mods. The clutch is not slipping but when you push the peddle to the floor the last inch or so of travel it makes a squishing sound. Neither the master or slave cylinder are leaking.
I am going to have to put control arm bushings on it so they were asking if I should do the clutch at the same time. But I don't think the clutch is bad but I have know idea how long it will last.
Right now I am thinking about replacing the brake/clutch fluid. It has not been replaced in 4 years.

the owner just bought it back from the person she sold it to. the car will only be a weekend car.

I have no idea about the door lock issue.

As for the clutch I have had the same sound for the last six years. It's the guide tube and I am not going to fix it until I have to replace the clutch.

Sounds like you need a driver door lock actuator.

Your right I should have come back and posted something incase someone els had the problem.

I guess its so common that my Mini dealer keeps them on hand. but I plan on checking with eminiparts first.
