    Don't remember it being hard...
    I used outmotorings led board (back befor individual leds were bright enough, it has like 20 tiny surface mount ones on a board)...but been a few years..

    The Owners Manual says pry off the lens with a screwdriver.

    Just pry the lens off with a small screwdriver.

    Our LED dome light is held in by the two phillips screws that hold the light in.
