I was beginning to fear the Corvair was too obscure a car for people to understand the waterpump on it. whew

I dont have any experience with the Chipped Air personally, but I hear you can get a tighter roatation of of the hub...especailly if you use the seasonally correct replacement air...
I also agree that you should keep the original air just incase its a lease. The Dealer will surely ding you if it comes back with aftermarket air...
I went to a bolt on high flow valve for decreased lap times and increased efficiency when changing air. It also made it easier to swap the seasonal air because Winter Air is a little thicker than the rest of the seasons. The summer air goes in no problem...just open the can and squeeze! Spring air is really smelly...smells like poo actually...the Autumn air is my favorite, crisp, clean, great for every kind of rotational speed. Only draw back is that it doesnt last as long as the other ones...seems like everytime I put the Autumn air into the High Flow Valves im switching to Winter Air almost immediately...but that is prolly because i am up here in Canada...
We have 2 seasons really...Winter and Construction Season. -

I've been running my rear tires 10 pounds higher pressure than the fronts so the front of the car sits lower and I gain fuel economy by coasting downhill.

you mean 7 months of pulling the sled out of the lake and rebuilding it just to do it all over again...and expecting different results... -

I got some Palo Uber air cheap--and it's worse than stock air--don't buy that crap! Melted my tires right of the rim, there was a distinct smell of methane mixed with sulfur.
Anyone know how I can get in touch with them to return it? I keep emailing, they never return my messages....
At the track, I put winter air the rears, summer air in the fronts--really helps with rotation. -
