One of Pete's finest... Adds the rigidity of a wet noodle!

And thats the way M7 paint looks a week after you take it out of the box. ;)

Seriously? I honestly thought it was a tool shed engineered, salvage yard built DIY project. M7-not surprised.

It was made from failed M7 strut bar parts.

I had a long argument on NAM with a guy on this, wish I could find the thread, the guy was going on and on about how much better the car drove on the street (he never took it to the track).

I tried telling him the only reason to install that thing was to keep the in-laws out of the back seat, but he's convinced it was one of the best "bang for the buck" mods out there. Hence my very strong belief in the Placebo effect.

I remember arguing with the sheeple on NAM about them too.

Everybody knows I have bought my fair share of junk parts (Bytetronik, Sprintex, M-garbage body pieces, and on and on...) but out of all the carp that has been bought and removed, you'll notice one thing that I have never done... Rear chassis braces only add weight to the car, and lightness to your wallet unless it involves a cage.

What is your beef with Bytetronik? I talked with Jan @ RMW yesterday and I may end up with a Bytetronik setup for stage 2 of my mini build.

Do a search. You can go cheap, with no support when things go wrong and pay more in the long run with bytetronic, or do it right the first time with RMW. You've been warned, choice is yours, but you'll get very little sympathy when things go wrong.

Jan was the one who recommended the Bytetronik setup for my stage two build.Either way I am on board with Jan for my build. So that is why I am confused right now!

I think you may have misunderstood something because Jan recommending bytetronic is like oil and water mixing.

Are you 100% sure because I am sure he would have said ViPEC not Craptronic.

Yeah, Jan would never recommend Bytetronik. Not because its a competitors product, but because it is a pile of crap that should never have been made! I was one of the first to buy into it, and its just not worth the headaches...
There will be a Bytronik burning party this year at the Dragon, there is at least two of the flash loaders getting the torch! ;)

Jan recommending bytetronic is like Dave recommending the F56.

I am certainly confused now. I am sure after a few more calls and emails with Jan I will have this all figured out!

What other standalone ECU option is available then?

Go with the ViPEC all the other cost much more and I do not think they off the features the ViPEC does.
