Thanks. I was told the brakes were new. Upon a wheel on inspection, they look pretty good. Obviously, I can't see the backside. I'll tackle the brake job in hopes that it resolves the issue. Guess I also need the tool to turn the piston as well.
Thinking about this some. I'll bet you a donut that the inner pads on the rear are not installed correctly. They have a little wire dodad that clips around the piston. Bet it is not clipped in. The brakes may be good. If you find this re-install the inner pad & return the new ones. Good luck!
Ok, just finished changing pads. I think that was the fix!! Drive around for a good 20 minutes making lots of stops. Not one chirp! I'll know more when I take my son out to drive, but so far so good.
Congrats on the DIY fix. The inner rear pads can be tricky to slide on the rear piston if you have never don't it before.
Not sure. Funky pads? Install seemed correct, didn't notice anything wrong. Hoping just having new/better pads does the trick. I won't really know until I drive it more. It's already much quieter, no squeaks, chirps or squeals. I'm sure now I'll just hear something else!!
