I have a 2008 R52 that I bought with a lot of chrome on it, including a chrome boot handle cover. Does anyone know if it would just be stuck on with double stick tape? So can be removed?

I also have chrome boot hinge covers that snap over the hinges, but they look like they replaced any body color hinges that others have so I was wondering if the boot handle may be the same before I attempt removal.

    Not sure on the cabrio....
But on the hardtop, the boothandle is sold as either chrome or primed for paint...so I'm guessing it is a different part...and not just taped on unless it is a cheap aftermarket kit.

It came from the factory like this, so sounds like its time for a new boot handle. May as well have that painted when I have all of the black arches done as well. Thx
