That's great news about Don's pick 'em up. Stainless is a wonderful thing. Sometimes I wish everything steel was made of stainless.
It finally quit raining here today and I pulled my dirty Mini out of the garage and washed it. I hadn't touched it since it got me home last Tuesday from the Fun Run. I found a nice collection of oil drippings on the garage floor once I did that. Hard as it is to believe, (it being an old British car and all) but it didn't leak prior to the big drive to Arkansas last week. After seeing the oil, I drove the car up on some ramps and tried to find the source. It seemed to be coming from the differential where the left side drive shaft comes out. But there was oil splattered everywhere in that area and it was difficult to tell with any certainty. I'm sure my 8 hour drive last Tuesday gave it plenty of time for the oil migrate all over the place. I got some Dawn dish soap and sprayed a mixture of it all over the back of the engine and differential to try to clean up the mess. I'll try some short drives in the coming week to see if I can pinpoint the source on a cleaner engine.
