I believe the speed shine has wax in it.

When applying a vinyl graphic, I first wash the area where the vinyl is to be applied, then clean it with denatured alcohol, flood it with clean water , dry it, and then apply the graphics. I will let it 'set' for a couple of days, then glaze and wax it.

Speed shine, or any detail quick touch up solutions have wax in them. Use a good car wash soap (careful, some of them have wax in them too) instead if you are going to apply graphics.

    Then apply wax afterwards.

After I found the tape not sticking I did use alcohol to clean the sides before putting the graphics on.

But I would say that if you use a paint sealer instead of a wax it would be good to clean the speed shine/wax off, after clay baring, before applying.
