No, but use about 20-30% less pressure to the clay when moving back and forth Not sure if you plan to use a random orbital to remove swirls, apply wax etc but I've found a white pad and Prima's Epic are great to use on clear bra. Once again very light touch but it will remove any slight imperfections with the white pad alone and the Epic will act as a lubricant and lay down a nice coat of synthetic wax that will last about 6mo's. And u can add Carnauba waxes on top of that if you like the look
Personally I would avoid using any carnauba on the invisible bra film unless you want to encourage the yellowing effect.
Richard, Are you saying the yellow pigment in Carnauba Wax will cause the car bra material to appear yellow or are you saying that the Carnauba Wax will cause a chemical reaction in the material resulting in yellowing?
It's pretty simple. Take a piece of glass. Even your windshield. Tape off a section. Put your favorite carnauba on it. I've tried a variety of them from Meguiar's to Prima. The next day take the tape off and look through the glass. You will see the carnauba side is yellow or yellower. Why did this happen? What do you think is the characteristic that people define a carnauba over a synthetic? The shine is warmer whereas synthetics are cold and hard. Another example, when is the best time to take a photograph of a car? The golden hour. The reason in part is because the light is diffused but also because you get a great warm glow to your paint that masks a lot of defects unlike the noon sun that's directly overhead. Are you familiar with Photoshop? What happens if you take a photo and adjust the color levels? What happens when you add more yellow to the photograph? It becomes warmer. Ok going back to the question. Carnauba's give off that rich warm shine because they just put on a light yellow tint. It seems logical that if you put that on your clear bra, that it's going to make it yellow too. Is there a chemical reaction going on as well? Maybe. In order to make the carnauba wax which starts out hard as rock..into a method you can apply it, lots of solvents are added which might have a part in the yellowing as well, but I don't know. Richard
I'd like to add something here: If the clay piece you are using falls on the ground.... throw it away! And start using a new piece
K, just wanted to make sure I was not damaging the clear bra more than exposing it to the elements and the regular car solvents If one had a pepper white or silver MINI this might come into play. With our Chili Red and Horizon Blue MCS's I haven't picked up any of this yellowing. Might have something to do with the Zymol wax I am using has a blue tint/pigment added to it which is billed to work on darker reds and blues. Does work very nice on top of a good coat of Epic
 Ya'll are blowing my mind! I have never heard of cleaning with clay. Also, I had to watch the video to find out that you weren't cussing your towel.
